The Incredible Journey

Image
Now [in Haran] the Lord said to Abram, Go for yourself [for your own advantage]away from your country, from your relatives and your father's house, to the land that I will show you. Genesis 12 Song Of Inspiration:  Jessica Reedy - Moving Forward Words of Inspiration and Meditation The word incredible is defined as difficult to believe, far-fetched, or extraordinary. Other descriptions are astounding, inspiring, or improbable. When God called Abram to take his family and journey to a land that he would himself  show him, Abram probably had some reservations. He had no clue where the land would be found or how far away he had to travel. But, Abram departed as the Lord had directed him. He was seventy-five years old at the time he began to take his Incredible Journey. He did not have enough foresight or revelation to call it incredible at the beginning. There was no way h...

You Are My Strength

Image
Meditation:  Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared:  for this day is holy unto our Lord:  neither be ye sorry: for the joy of the Lord is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10 Inspiration:  You Are My Strength - William Murphy It is not unusual to experience a difficult season in our lives. It could be sickness, death, loss of job, relationship challenges, and the list goes on and on. It is during this type of season that we may find ourselves overwhelmed with fear, disappointment, discouragement, and confusion. You may find yourself asking "WHY ME?". Although the Jews were in captivity, God allowed Nehemiah to find favor in his very difficult predicament. Nehemiah's situation did not change immediately but his attitude concerning his situation changed. He found favor in the king's sight and leveraged that favor to rebuild the walls of the city. Nehemiah received this favor afte...

Hands to Touch

Image
Meditate:  And Jesus said, Who is it who touched Me? When all were denying it, Peter and those who were with him said, Master, the multitudes surround You and press You on every side!   Luke 8:45  Amplified Inspiration:  Beautiful Love - BJ Putnam   When Jesus was in the earth in His physical body He would reach out to people in many ways. He laid hands on the sick, raised the dead, performed miracles, imparted blessings, and calmed fears with the touch of His hands. There is power in His touch and when this touch is accompanied by faith it brings tremendous results. In Luke Chapter 8, there is a woman in a desperate situation. She was sick, broke, and alone. But she had faith. She believed that if she could only get to Jesus, her life would be changed forever. Her getting to Jesus required her to come out of her comfort zone, deny all odds, replace fear with faith, and risk being ostracized. But it was so worth it! Because she decided not to stop with h...

PRESS - Passionately Reaching Expecting Supernatural Strength

Image
Meditate:   And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, and could not be healed by anyone. Came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His garment, and immediately her flow of blood ceased. Luke 8:43-44 Inspirational:  Alabastar Box - Cee Cee Winans No one is exempt from facing issues in their lifetime. It holds true that it rains on the just and on the on the unjust. No one is exempt. There was a woman, the bible does not mention her name, that exhausted all means to remove the issue that plagued her life. The bible says that she spent all that she had as she tried to resolve her issue in her own strength. It was not until she pressed her way through the crowd and touched the hem (fringe) of Jesus' clothing that she was made whole. She was weak, exhausted, and desperate as she pressed her way. Her desperation gave her the fuel she needed to persevere. Issues come in all shapes and sizes. What may seem like a mou...

What Will You Say?

Image
Meditation: What, then, shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31  Inspiration: If God Be For Us - Chris Tomlin Every team that plays a sport has one goal. That goal is to win and earn victory. In order for that team to be successful in its quest, it must have key components in place.  If it's basketball, it must have strong shooters that are able to get the ball into the basket. If it's soccer, there must be a strong kicker and goal keeper.  Or, in football there must be a strong defense and offence. In life, it may appear that all the key components to obtain victory are with the other team.  It may look like it is impossible for you to win.  However, when we have God on our side, there is no way that we can lose. We can expect to win every time!  He is all powerful, all seeing, and all knowing.  There is nothing and no one that can stand against Him.  And because He is on your side, you can sta...

The Sixth Day

Image
Meditation  And God said, Let us make man in our image after our likenes: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Genesis 1:26 Inspiration:  God's Got A Blessing - Norman Hutchins God made the decision to make man on the sixth day. Man was created in His image, in His likeness and with a purpose. Elohim (God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit) gave man dominion over everything in the earth. He also blessed him and after taking inventory over everthing that He had made, He said, "it was very good". You and I are a part of the "very good" thing that God created on the sixth day. He has spoken a blessing over our lives and has called us to be fruitful and multiply. Just as we have rights in our earthly parents home to partake of food, drink, and other life essentials, God has granted us rights in His Kingdom to have do...
