I Believe I Can Fly
As an eagle that stirs up her nest, that flutters over her young, He spread abroad His wings and He took them, He bore them on His pinions. Deuteronomy 32:11 John Maxwell says that, "To succeed in life we must stay within our strength zone, but continually move outside our comfort zone." It is almost impossible to accomplish something of significance inside your comfort zone. We dread moving outside our comfort zone because of the "What ifs". We resist it because we like to feel safe and secure. We don't want to look foolish, or fail, and fall flat on our faces. Complacency kills passion and reduces us to average. Like the eagle, God has created us for greatness. We are not to live like the chicken in the barnyard heads down making a whole lot of noise but going nowhere fast. Or, to be like a buzzard that indulges in what was and taking our pleasure in dead things. But God has prepared us to soar like the eagle, to fly ...
