"I have decided to follow Jesus; No turning back; No turning back" are the lyrics to a classic hymn that many of us can remember.  But in this day, our minds are infiltrated with a new understanding concerning the term "follow".  We follow on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Vine, etc... and other social media.  
Following people there only requires a click and you're done...  Then, you wait to see or hear an inspiring post, picture, or message. This relationship normally develops no true relationship and requires no responsibilities or accountability.  There are no promises made to you and what they post may not concern you.   Even if you never view any of their posts, you are still considered a follower.  
We get so accustomed to "following" people that following Jesus sometimes get watered down and the true meaning is lost. 
Don't get caught up in following people, but follow Jesus.  Jesus is the only person that we can follow that can and will deliver eternal results.  We accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, which is the "click" that begins our journey.  He then sends his Holy Spirit to live inside of us.  God has made guaranteed promises and commitments to us that he will always fulfill.  As we continue to click and read His post (the bible), we grow spiritually, and develop a deeper relationship with Him. Subsequently, not only do we follow Him but He begins to follow us and promises to never leave us or forsake us.  He allows us to enter into his presence every time we pray and find love, peace, joy, healing,...everything we need is in His presence!
