When you look in the mirror what do you see? Do you see the person that God made in His image and in His likeness or do you see someone else? Knowing ourselves is very essential in our quest of finding and fulfilling our purpose. When we don't know who we are, we leave ourselves open to be defined by someone else.
I once read a story of Jackie Joyner Kersee. Jackie, who suffered from asthma, was extremely displeased with her nose and how much it flared when she breathed. These obstacles, could have potentially prevented her from fulling her destiny in the earth. Years later after observing all that she had accomplished with running, the long jump, and the heptathlon she realized those flaring nostrils were part of God's plan. The very flaring of her nose allowed her to breath the necessary amount of air when competing. Jackie overcame her obstacles, pursued her destiny and purpose, and won many Olympic gold medals. She did not allow those things to move her nor to stop her from winning.
What is that "it" that causes you to struggle? That "thing" that strives to derail your life and keep you from reaching your destination-your purpose? Is it sickness, disease, emotional baggage, frustration, fear, or is it you. Yes, even you. Sometimes the fear of success is enough to stop or sabotage our opportunity to walk in our purpose. Pray, meditate, study the word, and become more determined in your mind I will continue to press. Let's say together, "None of these things move me. I will not allow anything to move me or force me off track. I will fulfill my destiny." Where you are right now is significant. It plays a part in the plan of God.
Everything that you have experienced in your life has set the stage for your PURPOSE! When looking back into your childhood, there may be things that you may or may not have liked. As you look deeper into those events, find the root, and begin to use them to push you forward. You will find that God was there all the time. Through the abuse, the neglect, the molestation, the rape, the rejection, etc.. And now He has bought you to this point in life. Ask God to take everything that you have been through and use it for your good and His glory. WE need His Glory to do this. Less of ourselves and more of Him. I Dare you to REVISIT your vision. Pick up your life where you are right now and begin to move it into the direction of the journey necessary to fulfilled destiny and purpose in your life. Can we do it? Yes, We can. With His help and with His glory and His power.
