The question becomes not  "if" they will occur but  "when"  will they occur. When I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in May two years ago, it was truly more of a trial than I had ever expected to experience. You see, there is no way to know in advance everything that we will experience in life.  But God knows.  There is nothing hidden from His eyes.  That is why it is of utmost importance that we cultivate our relationship and trust in God.  In the time of trouble, He will be there. It was very difficult going through the process of healing and I would not have been able to make it if I had not been able to lean on Him.  God knows our end from our beginning and the breast cancer diagnosis did not catch Him by surprise. NLT Our emotions desire to be in the driver"s seat in our lives.  Emotions will take you places you never wanted to go and have every intention to make you stay there longer than you want to stay. And unfortunately, many go places emotionally and never return from the consequences of their emotion driven trip. It is called sowing to the flesh.  And. we will reap from the seeds we sow. Emotions do not dictate who you are and they are not who you are - they are merely a reflection of how you feel. They were designed to be a part of you.   Just like your will and your intellect they are a part of your soul. The second is this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'  No other commandment is greater than these.  Mark 12:31 I love the lyrics to William McDowell's "I Give Myself Away."  These lyrics are filled with a confession of love and adoration towards God.  It is an acknowledgement of our awesome Father.  And the lyrics also include feelings of love, adoration, desire, and submission that we should all have for God. The bible says that we are to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.  But, we often misappropriate our feelings with people and/or things. We get so caught up in life and being everything to everybody that we forget about a very important piece of the puzzle and that is "YOU".  Without YOU there is no you! You must take care of yourself spiritually, emotionally, and mentally.  Never allow anything, or anyone to shape your life or disposition to the point that you can not move beyond it.  Not a man, woman, child, job, car...

In everyone's life a little rain must fall.  Three words stuck out to me "Rain" "Must" and "FALL". RAIN -  The word rain is liquid water in the form of droplets that have condensed from atmospheric water vapor and then precipitated-that is, become heavy enough to fall under gravity.  It is responsible for depositing most of the fresh water on the earth. MUST -  Rain is inevitable and is always about perception.... I was reading a Facebook post a few days ago that said, "God didn't bring you through your storm to drop you in a puddle."  When I read that phrase, I began to see vividly the scene in the bible where Jesus and the disciples were in a boat in the midst of a storm.  While on their journey Jesus fell asleep. When the disciples saw that their boat was filling with water because of the storm they became afraid and feared for their lives.  They woke Jesus because they did not know what to do in their storm. Mother's Day is a time that has been set aside to celebrate, cherish, and to remember mothers. If your mother is still here with you, take time to let her know that she is loved and appreciated. That does not mean that she did everything right (you probably didn't either) or that you always saw things eye to eye. But make a conscious decision to show her love. If there is any strife or contention between you and your mother, this year choose to forgive. Allow the past to remain the past and move forward into your future. This may seem unrealistic but with the help of the Holy Spirit it can be accomplished.  Forgiveness is often necessary to repair the breach in our families and to repair bridges that have been burned. Forgiveness in many cases will resolve issues and allow the family to heal and to move forward. Forgiveness releases you from the hurt associated with offense. He will give you revelation on how to move forward. No situation is too big, no mountain too high, and no valley is too low. A couple of days ago I stopped at a stop light and I noticed a wasp land on my window.  I must say that although I don't hate bees, I hate bee stings!  I thought to myself that when I pick up speed that He would be unable to stay on my car.  However, when I stopped at the next stop light, the same wasp landed on my window again. But at this time I was convinced that it could not possibly be the same wasp. But this time I watched. When I began to take off from this stop light, I noticed the wasp settle in for the ride.  He planted his feet and positioned his wings.  And he stayed on the car for the duration of the ride.  When I got to my destination, I waited as the wasp took flight into his new season. FAITH TRUMPS FEAR! No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.   Romans 8:37 It is almost impossible to remain calm when facing seemingly difficulties in life.  Although, we trust God and we have faith; there still seems to be moments that we have to speak to ourselves, bind fear, and speak faith. I went for my annual mammogram today.  I truly trust God, and I believe that He has healed my body, but I found myself as soon as I pulled into my parking spot at CMC facing feelings of anxiety and fear.  Unfortunately, fear and anxiety are two emotions that after you have overcome them they will attempt to return. I reminded myself in that moment God loves me and He has not forgotten me.  I knew that I must respond in faith.  This is true for each of us.  We must activate our faith and fight that fear with faith.  Faith + The Word will trump fear.  When facing fear or anxiety, begin to speak to yo...
