Is "E" Driving You?
That's why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. NLT
Our emotions desire to be in the driver"s seat in our lives. Emotions will take you places you never wanted to go and have every intention to make you stay there longer than you want to stay. And unfortunately, many go places emotionally and never return from the consequences of their emotion driven trip. It is called sowing to the flesh. And. we will reap from the seeds we sow.
Emotions do not dictate who you are and they are not who you are - they are merely a reflection of how you feel. They were designed to be a part of you. Just like your will and your intellect they are a part of your soul.

When difficult times arise in our lives, we must remember that God desires that we remain stable while exercising our faith walk. Don't give up; His mercy will keep you! Yes, there may be moments that we feel angry, sad, depressed, lonely, etc...these feeling are normal, but these feelings should not overtake us. Emotions will cause you to give up on things that are designed to stretch you and help you get to your next level. Keep moving! If we stop short...It may be right before the blessing!
If you feel that "E" is in the drivers seat in your life, I encourage you to kick it out! Emotions can only have as much control in our lives as we allow. Ask God to help you to develop discipline over your emotions. Learn to laugh, choose not to be offended, be quick to forgive, and extend reconciliation. Allow the Holy Spirit in the drivers seat and allow Him to drive you. He will take you places you never dreamed of and allow the blessings that God has for you to overtake you!
