He Won't Drop You
I was reading a Facebook post a few days ago that said, "God didn't bring you through your storm to drop you in a puddle." When I read that phrase, I began to see vividly the scene in the bible where Jesus and the disciples were in a boat in the midst of a storm. While on their journey Jesus fell asleep. When the disciples saw that their boat was filling with water because of the storm they became afraid and feared for their lives. They woke Jesus because they did not know what to do in their storm. Jesus commanded the wind, and the waves and immediately they ceased travailing and became calm. Jesus then asked them, "Where is your faith?"

The Sea of Galilee is well known for its sudden, violent storms. The severity of this storm is evident in the fact that the disciples (many of which were experienced fishermen on this very sea) were terrified. Although the storm was severe it did not disturb Jesus, but the unbelief of his disciples did. They failed to remember that they were going to the other side at Jesus' request and they could trust Him to take care of them despite the storm.
The same way that Jesus calmed the storm in the lives of the disciples The Holy Spirit is here to calm our storms. But, we must act in faith believing that He can, He wants to, and that He will. There is no reason to fear being dropped in a puddle after He brings us through the storm; He still has us and He will carry us through.
