Rain - Must - Fall

-
 He makes His sun rise on the wicked and on the good, and makes the rain fall upon the upright and the wrongdoers [alike].  Matthew 5:45b

I was awaken this morning to sound of rain and thunder.  As I listened a thought came to my mind. In everyone's life a little rain must fall.  Three words stuck out to me "Rain" "Must" and "FALL".

RAIN - The word rain is liquid water in the form of droplets that have condensed from atmospheric water vapor and then precipitated-that is, become heavy enough to fall under gravity.  It is responsible for depositing most of the fresh water on the earth.

MUST - Rain is inevitable and is always about perception.... It can be seen as a curse or a blessing.  If we are a pessimist, then rain pushes us into the "Woe is Me" mode or "Why does bad things always happen to me?"

FALL - Reflect on the goodness of God and that His delivering power is still at work in the earth! As the rain falls flip the script and choose to look at rain through the lens of optimism and realize that rain is a normal, life giving event that brings a refreshing into our lives. Speak the positives and not the negatives. (Remember the power of your tongue)

Our lives belong to God and we can trust Him.  I encourage you to choose your perception of the rain. Begin to expect the refreshing, and look for the rainbow that comes after the rain.  God's love never fails. And remember, "All Things Work Together For Good for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purposes".
