Light in Dark Places
Inspiration and Meditation
Listen: I Am What You See - Bishop Paul S. Morton
Meditate: Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
Have you ever been swimming in a lake or a pond and the water was very cloudy or muddy. You were unable to see anything underneath the water. You had to trust your instincts that the things you felt underneath the water was dirt, debris, or something that lives in the water. You also had to trust that these things would not hurt you.
In life, we often experience seasons that we cannot see the outcomes very clearly. During this season, it is so dark that we cannot see the hand in front of our face. We experience pain, disappointments, frustration, fears, sickness, death of loved ones, joblessness, anxieties, and the list goes on. But God! He is a Light in dark places! There has been a light provided for us to help us to see during times like these. This light is the word of God.
The word of God is a light that will guide us as we travel on this journey called life. God's word will shed sufficient light unto our feet with each step in our walk with Him. He will equip us with what is necessary to keep us from stumbling. Beloved I encourage you today, to allow the light of God's word to illuminate your way. Read and meditate on His word and you will find.... He is there and There is nothing too big for our God!
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.
