How you handle your wilderness experience will determines how quickly you will reach your Canaan. Canaan is symbolic of a place of rest, a place of more than enough, or a place of greater. It is the place where your worry and stress are relieved. It can mean greater influence, greater finances, greater health, greater anointing, greater relationships, or greater _________ ( you fill in the blank),
When the Israelites left Egypt on their way to the promise land, they did not handle their wildness experience very well. They murmured, complained, and would not listen to the directions given by God. How often do we find ourselves murmuring, complaining, and failing to follow instructions? God will not leave us nor forsake us. He will provide help in the time of trouble. God gives us directions in the bible, He uses others, and sometimes situations to speak to us.
We all face moments in life when we become discouraged about what is going on in our lives. But on such days, we must remember: It is not all about what happens to us; but how we respond to what happens to us. One day can make a difference in the rest of our lives. The test of our faith occurs in the wilderness. We must choose faith over fear, to pray instead of murmur, to speak words of affirmation instead of complaints, and to obey rather than disobey. Let's begin to change our lives One Day At A Time!
Beloved, I encourage you on this day to evaluate YOU. Are you ready for your Canaan? How are you handling your wilderness experience right now?
Father, help us to remember you in all our circumstances and in everything that we face to trust you. In our wilderness experience help us put our total confidence in you. In Jesus name. Amen
