Where are the Heros?

Image
Inspirational Song:  I'm Living The Blessed Life - The Clark Sisters A Hero is someone that saves or protects someone from impending danger or a person, who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.  Often when we face a trial in our life, we don't know what we should do.  We wish that there was someone to come and save us so that we would not have to experience any hurt, pain, disappointment, frustration, or discouragement. The bible says in Psalm 34:19, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all."   Things may shake our faith or cause us to question "why".   But,  we can be assured that the Lord will deliver us out of everyone of them!  Being righteous means being made right with God through your relationship with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. God loves us so much that He blesses us for being righteous with a special benefit.  The righteous are t...

Stand Up and Take Your Place

Image
Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. "The Lord is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I hope in Him!"  Lamentations 3:22-24 Inspirational Song:  In Your Presence - Keith Staten This is a new day that is loaded with benefits and new mercies!  The benefits and mercies are available to each of us.  The question now becomes, Will I activate my faith and take hold of what God has prepared for me?  Can I believe God regardless of  the doctors report, the breakup, the pink slip, in spite of the nay-sayers, or the negative, pessimistic people speaking into or about my life? Begin today with a new attitude and "Stand Up and Take Your Place"!  Don't allow your past life to paralyze your future and prevent you from moving forward.  Your future depends on you taking action.  If y...

What is your "REALITY"?

Image
Inspirational Song: I Know The Plans I Have For You - Martha Munizzi [Elisha] answered, Fear not; for those with us are more than those with them.  Then Elisha prayed, Lord, I pray You, open his eyes that he may see.  And the Lord opened the young man's eyes, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.           II Kings 6:16-17 AMP I was riding in the car a couple of days ago and I was prompted with a question.  The question was "What is your reality?".   I immediately began to think about those things I could identify from using my five senses. These were the things that I could see, hear, taste, touch, and smell.  First,  I thought about my life and the things I have experienced over the last several months.  Next, I thought about my present life and the things that I am experiencing. As I pondered over these things, it became very apparent to me that these th...

What Will You Give?

Image
The SPIRIT of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound.  Isaiah 61:1 Song of Inspiration: Give Me You - Shana Wilson God loved mankind so much that He gave His son as a ransom to redeem us back to Him.  But, that is not the only reason that Jesus came.  Jesus came into the earth realm anointed and qualified to preach the Gospel, heal the sick, open the eyes of the blind, cause the lame to walk, and  to bring comfort to those that morn. It is God's nature to give.  He is the giver of peace, love, comfort, favor, blessings, salvation, provision, gladness, joy, protection, etc... the list goes on and on.  The word give is defined as: 1.  freely transfer the posses...

Experience the SON Shine!

Image
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace.  In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.           John 16:33 There is an old cliche', "In life a little rain must fall". This means that we all will encounter an unpleasant experience or two in our lifetime.  Wouldn't it truly be great if there was a way that we could be sheltered from ever having to experience any type of trial or tribulation (rain) in our lifetime. If it were possible to experience life without ever having to feel any aches, pains, heartache, heartbreak, or disappointment, would we really appreciate when life is good? When going through a trial or tribulation always remember, "After the rain, the sun (SON) will shine again"! Jesus encouraged us by giving us a tip to help us get through life. That tip is similar to the old cliche'.  But He goes further by telling us in the midst of what we are...

In Pursuit of Peace - PART II

Image
Peace I leave with you: my own peace I give to you.  It is not as the world gives,  give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled,  neither let it be afraid. Jesus himself is our PEACE.  Peace is always the result of equilibrated forces, the poise of elements, held in check by one another.  So the peace Christ leaves is power to hold the wildest fear in pause, to still a clamor or hush a cry - it is the coming of mercy to a sense of sin, of life to the fear of death. Jesus is a "I said it; and I mean it" kind of guy.  When He said that He gives to us peace, He means just that. Jehovah Shalom is our peace.  He gives us the balance that we need to hold it together in our lives.  Jesus said He would keep us in perfect peace when our minds are stayed on Him. It is of utmost importance that we take authority over our thought life and our emotions. Don't be emotion led; but spirit led. Your emotions have the ability to take you places you don't wa...

In Pursuit of PEACE - Part I

Image
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. Colossians 3:15 NIV In the world in which we live, everything is at a fast pace.  No one desires to wait or is willing to wait for anything.  This state of "hurry up" has created chaos in many of our lives.  We make hasty decisions, we are not cognizant of the use of our time, and we over extend ourselves which leads to a place of mediocrity and the loss of a very important part of our lives.... PEACE.  A state of peace is essential for health and prosperity in our lives.  It is as important as the air we breathe. It is especially important, when we are focusing on walking in divine health, receiving our healing (physically, spiritually, or emotionally), or receiving our increase.   It is vital that we rid our minds of strife, contention, or stress and receive God's peace.  Our choices and decisions will become better aligned with God's purposes whe...

Staircase Strength

Image
Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase. --Martin Luther King, Jr. There are many types of staircases.  Some staircases are straight up; while others may have a resting pad following the middle step, and other staircases may be winding.  But, what makes them all alike is that they all have steps and the fact that the correct way to climb is to climb one step at a time. Sometimes, our lives can be seen as a staircase.  Life may seem to go straight up from one situation to another without a break in between.  Then in other instances, there is a moment of rest before having to face the next issue.  Or as in the case of the winding staircase, we are able to stand and look at what seems to lie ahead before actually engaging the climb.  But in cases such as this, we are unable to see from our location the condition of the stairs.  We can  see the condition of the stairs and what may be on each step only as we climb...

Have Tenacity! Keep Holding ON!

Image
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Hebrews 12:1 We have so many great people whose lives tell us what faith means. We see that, Faith means holding on when you feel like letting go. Faith means facing a mountain and speaking to it instead of climbing. Faith means having bull dog tenacity and never giving up. Faith is believing that God will not allow anything to happen in your life that He will not help you through. So let us run the race that is set before us and never give up. Make a conscious effort to to remove everything that would get in the way and the sin that will easily hold you back. I always say that life is not just what happens to you, but how you respond to what happens to you. It may be hard right now, but don't ever give up. Never stop hoping, trusting, and believing as you ru...

Something to Cry About

Image
Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When you said, "Seek My Face," My heart said to You, "Your face, Lord, I will seek."   Psalms 27:7-8 Throughout our lives the Lord has been our help. He has never left us or forsaken us and the good news is He Never Will! In this scripture, David makes a declaration of faith in God. This example is one that each of us should follow and apply to our lives. Set aside time to tell God in your own words how much you love and appreciate Him.  God's presence in our lives is a vital necessity and one that we cannot afford to live without.  Trying to live a life without God is like trying to live life with out air to breathe. It is like a ship without a sail being tossed to and fro by the wind. It profits us much when we allow Jesus to be at the center of our lives and our responses are yes. God has made Himself available to each of us. But, we must call on His name. He will hear us, hav...

Under My Feet

Image
FEAR is something that all of us will face at sometimes in our lives. On yesterday someone said to me, "Please pray for me, I feel the spirit of fear is trying to overtake me." I could have agreed with her in prayer and sent her on her way, but I felt led of the Holy Spirit not to just pray with her but to share with her some spiritual truths. This ammunition would help her be prepared if feelings of fear came back to visit. So before praying, I shared a few spiritual nuggets with her. Knowledge is power and grants empowerment for future battles. We must operate in the power that God has placed in each of us. He has made us a little lower than Himself and He calls us His friend. Be empowered today in your walk by placing all your faith and confidence in God. Regardless of what you are facing, you can trust in the Author and Finisher of your faith! Keep In Mind 1. FEAR is perverted faith. It is placing trust or belief that something is more powerful than God. 2. FE...

He Turned IT!

Image
Good Morning and Happy New Year! This is indeed the day that the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it! The end of a story is often better than the beginning as God is able to take those things the enemy meant for bad and turn them around. Today I encourage you not to focus on your problem or the situation, don't focus on your IT, but focus on the turnaround. Your IT is nothing when compared to the healing, delivering power of Almighty God! I was so blessed on yesterday to receive a text message from a sister that encouraged me so much - Jeanette Gregory. Allow this to be that message to you. Be encouraged in whatever you're facing right now and know that this is only for a season, for a moment in time. The enemy's goal is to get you so distracted that you loose sight of your purpose. That you become so overwhelmed by what you're facing that you give up. But make a decision today and "Don't get discouraged but take courage and allow the joy of th...
