Experience the SON Shine!

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace.  In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.           John 16:33

There is an old cliche', "In life a little rain must fall". This means that we all will encounter an unpleasant experience or two in our lifetime.  Wouldn't it truly be great if there was a way that we could be sheltered from ever having to experience any type of trial or tribulation (rain) in our lifetime. If it were possible to experience life without ever having to feel any aches, pains, heartache, heartbreak, or disappointment, would we really appreciate when life is good? When going through a trial or tribulation always remember, "After the rain, the sun (SON) will shine again"!

Jesus encouraged us by giving us a tip to help us get through life. That tip is similar to the old cliche'.  But He goes further by telling us in the midst of what we are experiencing, we are to be of good cheer. We must refuse to allow our circumstances to dictate our emotions.  When Jesus was nailed to the cross, all of the pains associated with life were nailed along with Him.  Sickness, poverty, heartache, etc...were also nailed to the cross.  In those moments, He overcame the world for us. Jesus continues to speak through time and eternity words of encouragement to us that our peace will be found only in Him.  It is not the peace that the world gives that can be taken away, but it is the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. He doesn't say take cheer or show cheer; however Jesus has called us to "Be of Good Cheer".  This requires you to wear cheer like a cloak. When exercised, cheer will become a part of who you are and a part of your testimony.  Cheer will give birth to optimism and change your perspective.

Decide today, I will receive His peace and experience the SON shine!  I will no longer allow my head to hang down about what I am going through. Today is a new day, it's Head Up, Shoulders Back, Keep Moving... One Foot in front of the other.... I will Be of Good Cheer and experience the SON Shine!
