What is your "REALITY"?
[Elisha] answered, Fear not; for those with us are more than those with them. Then Elisha prayed, Lord, I pray You, open his eyes that he may see. And the Lord opened the young man's eyes, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. II Kings 6:16-17 AMP
I was riding in the car a couple of days ago and I was prompted with a question. The question was "What is your reality?". I immediately began to think about those things I could identify from using my five senses. These were the things that I could see, hear, taste, touch, and smell. First, I thought about my life and the things I have experienced over the last several months. Next, I thought about my present life and the things that I am experiencing.
As I pondered over these things, it became very apparent to me that these things do not create my reality. I was reminded that my reality actually consists of the things that are taking place not in this realm, but those things that are occurring in the spirit realm. My reality is "what God says about the things which concern me" and not the things. The bible says that He will perfect those things which concern me!
In our scripture for today, the young man in the story could only see the huge army that was standing against them. Elisha prayed and asked God to open the young mans eyes (spiritual eyes) so that he would see their true reality. Although there was a huge army opposing them, there were more with He and Elisha than with the opposition.
In our lives, sometimes we may feel that we fighting our battles all alone. It may even feel like the opposing forces are about to win. But remember your reality is what you see when you look at life through the eyes of faith "your spiritual eyes". Your reality is what is taking place in the spirit realm and the armies of God that are fighting for you. But, it also includes you and your courage to properly appropriate the word of God in your every situation. Find out what God says in His word concerning you and begin to speak it.
Greater is He that lives IN you than he that he that is in the world. That means greater and more powerful is the Spirit of the Living God that is living inside of you; than satan, the prince of the air, in the world. When looking at your situations in life, don't judge them based on your natural five senses, but allow your self to be in tune with your spiritual senses, insight, and Godly wisdom. Your reality is what God says and that He is working things out for your good and His glory.
When the enemy throws something at you, tell him that's not my reality. Use the word of God to diffuse the situation and send the enemy packing as you speak your true reality into existence.
