I Will Rejoice And Be Glad!

TODAY'S INSPIRATION:
Listen to:  I Will Rejoice -- William Murphy
Meditate on: Habakkuk 3:18-19 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights.

It is so good to be back... Missed you!!! Yes, I am feeling better each day! (Thanks for all your prayers and words of encouragement) Love you!  XOXO

This morning my thoughts reflect on a hymn we sang in church when I was a little girl called Blessed Assurance. The chorus is "This is my story, this is my song. Praising my Savior, all the day long. This is my story, this is my song. Praising my Savior all the day long. This song is about the blessed confidence we  have when we trust in Jesus.
On this morning at 4:00am, I want to take a moment to bless the Lord. He deserves all the glory, honor, and praise. If I had 10,000 tongues, I could not praise Him enough. I invite you, right now to stop and bless Him. Think about all the wonderful things He has done in your life. The things He has protected you from....the punishment you deserved, but His grace spoke and justice did not prevail.
None of us can really answer all the "whys", "what ifs" or the "woulda, shoulda, couldas". But, we can stand in confidence and know that if God has brought us to a thing or to a situation in life, He is definitely able to see us through.
Diagnosed on May 18, 2012 with breast cancer, June-- 16 weeks of chemo, October 23, 2012--Masectomy and lymph node removal, January-- 33 Radiation Therapy Treatments and July-- DIEP Reconstruction Surgery.... This is my story, this is my song.... I am praising my savior all the day long. I choose to bless Him. I choose to praise Him because I know, "Greater is Coming"!  I truly love Him like that. He is my friend.
I went into surgery on July 8, 2013 for  a DIEP reconstruction at 7:00 am. This was about an eight hour surgery, and I am grateful that El was in the room!.(I will share more about the surgery at a later date) :) I know that I am not superwoman, but I expected to be up and popping in about a week. I thought I would be able to at least blog every day, as well as, handle other small assignments. Needless to say "MORPHINE" just doesn't wear off that quickly. I had  weekS of fatigue, pain, discomfort, sleepiness, and a very clouded head. Sleeping in an upright position does get tiring after a while.... But, He sustains me.... Hallelujah!
God said, "Rome was not built in a day." He encouraged me to rest and take time to allow my body to heal and be refreshed. I am so glad He loves me like that.
This is a journey I would not have chosen. But, yet I have made up my mind, I Will Rejoice and Be Glad! He came and HE healed me, HE came and refreshed me and I WILL REJOICE AND BE GLAD.
I encourage you today as you meditate on the word of God that you  bless the Lord...... You are on a journey to health and wellness. But, while you are on this journey have the blessed assurance that God is with you. He has not forgotten you, nor has he abandoned you. Take a moment and... right in the middle of it...bless His name!

I am on my my way....and we are back on the grind. Pray much for me as we move forward in purpose and destiny.

  1. Sister,

I am elated that you are doing well and that God continues to strengthen you and keep you. I must admit, it is not easy for me to always read or hear about the affects of cancer, as I have lost my closest loved one to this horrible disease. However, your words of encouragement have helped me to face this issue and pray for others.

Thank you for being such a wonderful example of strength and courage. Your faith is evident and ultimately contagious.

May God richly bless and Keep you and your family!
