MY NEW SONG

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to: I Will Bless the Lord - Hezekiah Walker (YouTube) Meditate on:  Psalm 34:1 I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord:  the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. Yesterday's blog encouraged us to throw away the "Woe is Me" song and to sing a new song. We all have our moments that we ask the whens, whys, or the what ifs. It is during those moments that we must deliberately remember the Lord our God. I sang my new song as I was taking my daughter to school. I recorded it so that I wouldn't for get it. I am so blessed to share it with you. My New Song by Deborah Tulay YOU WERE THERE Father of all you are highly exalted There is no one, no one like you When I look over the world, down through the ages All through my life there's been none like you I give you glory, I give y...

Sing A New Song

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to: Awesome - William Murphy (Remix) (YouTube) Meditate on:  Psalm 18:30 As for God, His way is perfect! The word of the Lord is tested and tried; He is a shield to all those who take refuge and put their trust in Him. Oh Lord you are awesome! If it wasn't for your love, if it wasn't for your grace; I don't know where I would be without you. We truly serve an awesome God. Awesome is defined as extremely impressive or daunting, inspiring great admiration, apprehension, or fear. It is also described as an overwhelming feeling of reverence, admiration, or fear, causing or inducing awe. In Psalm 18:30, David wrote a song to the LORD. On this day the Lord rescued him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. In the beginning of the chapter, he shows his adoration. He tells the Father how much he loves Him. In the middle of this Psalm he recants the story of how God delivered him during his time of distress. David also sh...

The Benefit Package

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   How Great Thou Art - Yolanda Adams (YouTube) Meditate on: Psalm 103 Being a child of God comes with benefits. When we wake up each day we awaken to a day of new mercies, and that is loaded with benefits. One benefit package is found in Psalm 103. Beloved let's meditate on this word and put it to memory as much as you are able. This word will empower you to move forward in faith. Regardless of what you face, you can say "I have Benefits." MY BENEFIT PACKAGE INCLUDES Psalm 103 Forgiveness of sin Diseases healed Life redeemed from the pit Crowned with love and compassion Satisfied desires with good things Renewed youth  Works righteously on my behalf Patient and slow to anger Do not receive the deserved penalty Love That is just 10 benefits there are many more. God Almighty loves us so much that He has given us a benefit package that will never be taken away. When you pray the word, it releases power. Today m...

The Promise Keeper

Inspirational Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   That's Who You Are - Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship Meditate on:   Genesis 22:2 And He said, Take now thy son, thine only son Issac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. In Genesis there is recorded a story of remarkable trust and faith. Abraham and his wife Sarah became parents well into old age. They finally received their son of promise and they, as most parents would be, were elated. God initiated a covenant with Abram (His name was later changed to Abraham) earlier in the book of Genesis and made several promises to him. One of the promises was that all the families of the earth would be blessed through him. He told Abram that the son that came forth from his seed would be his heir and his family lineage would exceed the stars in the sky. God sent messengers to Abram to tell he and his wife Sarah ...

Don't STOP!

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   Shifting The Atmosphere - Jason Nelson Meditate on:  Daniel 10:12 Then he said to me, "Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before God, your request have been heard in heaven, and I have come in answer to your prayer. Today we live in a microwave, quick, and in a hurry type of world. The time required  for maturity of just about everything has been shortened. The time necessary to prepare a meal 35 years ago has been cut in half. Our meats and vegetables are now produced with the use of hormones and hot houses that considerably reduce the amount of time it takes from fertilization to harvest. Everywhere we go we experience a world that is in warp speed. We become so accustomed  to this lifestyle that it makes it hard to be patient with anything. In our scripture today, Daniel prayed concerning his situation. God moved immediately, but becaus...

Heighten Expectations

Inspiration and Meditatation Listen to:   Greater -- Tasha Cobbs Meditate on:  Mark 11:23   For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Expectation is the act or state of looking forward or anticipating. It is a belief about what might happen in the future. We can all learn a lesson from the story of The Little Engine That Could. This is a story of expectation that gave birth to determination. Although the Little Engine was smaller than the other engines, it did not see itself as being less capable of overcoming any obstacle. He believed as long as he thought positive, and spoke power releasing words from his mouth he could do anything. What we think will eventually determine what comes from our mouth. And hen, what come from our mouth will in time give bi...

Lord Teach Me to War

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:  Champions -- Freddy Rodriguez  Meditate on:   Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight. My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me. Psalms 144:1-2 Before a soldier goes into battle, he is trained and equipped. He learns how to strategically engage the enemy.  His ultimate desire is to annihilate the enemy and receive a victory in battle. The soldier knows if he goes to battle ill prepared, his life could be in danger and possibly lost. Before David went to battle with Goliath, there were people murmuring in his ear. His older brothers tried to get him to go home but he refused to go. King Saul tried to get him to wear his personal armor into battle, but David believed it would not be beneficial. David knew the only way he would be victorious against Goliath was to fight the battle with God's...

LIFE Happens (Live In-Spite-of Facing Extreme Situations)

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   Confidence - Tasha Cobbs Meditate on:  Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of good and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Think for a moment....before you were formed in your mother's womb... before the sperm and the egg came together.. before your mom and dad... before your grandma and granddad, God knew you. Abba Father, our heavenly father knew you and called you by name. You are not an accident but you were purposely sent into the earth to fulfill a God-ordained destiny. Just like earthly parents think about their children and desire those things which are best for them, God says in the bible the thoughts He has for us are good and not for evil. That is why only good gifts comes from God; He cannot tempt us with evil.  It is His desire that we experience the God kind of life which is revealed through our relationship with Him. We will not be exempt from facing ...

Write, Speak, Praise

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   Grateful - Hezekiah Walker (YouTube) Meditate on:  Psalms 55:17  Evening, morning, and noon I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice. I was encouraged by my friend and sister  Jackie McMullen Jones. As I read her post this morning, God ministered to me the importance of thankfulness. Only one of the ten lepers turned back to give Jesus thanks. Being thankful is important during this season in your life. Regardless of what you are facing be thankful (Grateful). I am the God of all time and all that is. Seek Me not only in the morning quietness but consistently throughout the day. Do not allow the unexpected problems to distract you from My Presence. Instead, talk with me about everything, and watch confidently to see what I will do, Happy Thankful Thursday! On today make a list of 10 things that you are thankful for. View all your difficulties as blessings in disguise. Know that all things will work together for your...

Rejoice is a Choice

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:  I Will Rejoice and Be Glad -- William Murphy Meditate on:  Psalms 118:24   This is the day which the LORD hath made , we will rejoice and be glad in it. This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it! The word rejoice in the Hebrew language means to go round about; to be excited to the point of trembling. Oh, if we could look at each day individually instead of a conclusion of all of our yesteryears and yesterdays. Think about it...If we would embrace each new day, what a difference it would make in our lives. Remember, rejoicing in the Lord is an action and a choice, but it is also a command. We can truly begin to rejoice when we are able to see God's mercy working in our lives.  In Psalms 118 the psalmist exalts the Lord for His mercy. He recognizes the importance of audibly acknowledging the goodness of the Lord because the mercy of the Lord endures forever. He invites everyone to join him in...

Weapon Malfunction

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   In Your Will - Men of Standard Meditate on: Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall proper. And every tongue which rises against you in judgement thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. The word of God says that God would not have us ignorant of satan's devices. One of our key defenses in battle is being aware of the enemy's effort to overtake us, and to gain the advantage over us. It is his desire to lead us away from devotion to Christ and our having a kingdom mindset. Satan is the adversary, obsessively working to exterminate you! Satan hates God and it is his desire to destroy God's people. It is vital that we remain vigilant and sincerely dedicated to God. We must recognize the enemy and expose his tactics. Remember, the weapon may form but it won't work! 1.  Don't give place to the devil. Stop giving the enemy an opportunity t...

From Breakout to Breakthrough

INSPIRATION AND MEDITATION Listen to:   Jesus  -- Shekinah Glory Ministry (YouTube) Meditate on:   And Moses said to the people, "Do not fear! Stand still and see the salvation of the LORD which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again forever.  My mother worked as a cook in a very popular restaurant in our home town. The owner was the magistrate so many visited his business when in town for official business at the courthouse. One day, this man came in from out of town. He was unfamiliar with the area so he asked those working in the restaurant how he could get back to the major thoroughfare. My mother tried to help him. After a few minutes of pondering the best route to take, she came to a conclusion and she told the man, "If you were at the courthouse, I could tell you how to get there, but You can't get there from here." Now we know that was not an accurate statement. However, at the time ...

Commander- In- Chief

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   I Speak Life -- Donald Lawrence Meditate on:   Proverbs 18:21 Life and death are in the power of the tongue. And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Words of declaration and affirmation are vital on your journey to health and wellness, and deliverance from other life challenges. What you say is what you will have so be careful what you say. You have the power with your mouth to either curse a thing or bless a thing. Stop allowing bitter water and sweet water to come from the same fountain. Change your Thoughts; Change Your Speech.  Change Your Speech; Change Your Life The sum of what you have right now is the result of your thoughts coming to life through your mouth. Speak words that agree with your faith. Positive words are good but they only work when activated by faith. Faith requires a corresponding action....There must be agreement between Words and Actions. Gods says that you have a future and a hope. B...

SWAT Team

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to: Waging War -- CeCe Winans   Meditate on: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. 2 Corinthians 10:4 I was laying in bed this morning and I asked God how He would have me to encourage you today. I had a couple of thoughts before I laid down but I did not feel a release.  As I lay in bed about 3 am, I heard the words SWAT Team. God began to show me how because of what many of us are facing in our lives, we need a special unit dispatched. A SWAT Team (Special Weapons and Attack Team) is a special group of police trained to deal with unusually dangerous or violent situations, and having special weapons, such a s rifles more powerful than those carried by regular police officers. They are employed, for example, in situations when hostages are being held, or heavily armed persons need to be captured. Intensity of the battle, determines when a special unit is necessary. Becaus...

Sedations

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   Nothing Compares -- Freddy Rodriguez Meditate on:   Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, not things present, nor things to come. Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35, 38-39 On July 8, 2013, my family in tow, I went to check into the hospital at 5:00 am.  Later that morning, I would go through a nine hour breast reconstruction surgery. I can't really remember a lot about the next couple of days. But on that day, I remember getting an IV,  meeting the doctor, nurses, and  anesthesiologist that would be with me in surgery and waiting to be rolled back to the operating room. I thought it would go like last time. I would say...

You're Stronger Than You Think

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   I didn't Know My Own Strength -- Whitney Houston with lyrics Meditate on:   Mark 16:17 And these signs will follow those who believe. In My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. I heard a story years ago about a circus. It was during the middle of winter and it was very cold outside. The keeper of the animal's quarters made a fire in barrels so that the temperature would not become unbearable for the animals. Unfortunately, one of the barrels was accidentally knocked over and caught fire. Everyone was running and screaming in an attempt to get the animals out. The circus master noticed he did not see the elephants. He yelled to the keeper, "Where are my elephants". The keeper replied, "Oh don't worry about the elephants. They are confined in...

A Friend Called Faith

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   He's Been Faithful -- Vicki Yohe Meditate on:  2 Kings 6:16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. The day I was diagnosed with breast cancer was the Friday before Mother's Day in 2012. As I sat in the chair and listened to the report concerning the areas biopsied in my breast, I absolutely could not believe my ears. After getting home and processing everything that was said, I felt fear creeping in. The devil told me that I was not going to survive; he said that I was going to die. It was definitely a scary place to be. My sister was diagnosed in 2012 with breast cancer so that reality actually compounded the threat in my life. When we face difficulties in life...

The Lemonade Stand

INSPIRATION AND MEDITATION Listen to:   You are My Peace -- Juanita Bynum Meditate on:   John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give it to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. Each day is another opportunity to embrace life. It is another opportunity to Live, to Love, and to Laugh. On the days when the "woe is me" tries to cloud my thinking, I replace those thoughts. I choose to see the glass half full rather than half empty. LIFE,.... with all of it's challenges and complexities.... there is one thing for sure "It could be BETTER, but It could be WORSE". Your challenge may be sickness, disease, marriage, finances, relationships, or your children, but it  is the peace of Jehovah Shalom that will keep you. My prayer for you today is that you don't get caught up in the wouldda, shoulda, coulda, but that you will focus on  moving forward. After being diagnosed with breast cancer, there w...

911 "Hello God, It's ME"

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   I Trust You -- James Fortune & FIYA    Meditate on:   Mark 4:39-41 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still." Then the winds died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, "Why are you so afraid? do you still have no faith?" They were terrified and asked each other, "Who is this? Even the wind and waves obey him!" Many years ago, I got caught in a storm. I heard it announced on the radio, but I thought , "If I leave now, I can beat the storm and make it home." So, I began my twenty minute trip home. When I got half way home, the heavens opened and there was a torrential down pour. It was at night and the sky lit up with lightening as the thunder rumbled. Then, it began to hail. I found myself on a four lane, busy highway in the dark and I could not see. All I could imagine was a eighteen wheeler pushing me off the highway and down  an embankment to my deat...
