Meditate on:  Psalm 18:30 As for God, His way is perfect! The word of the Lord is tested and tried; He is a shield to all those who take refuge and put their trust in Him.

Oh Lord you are awesome! If it wasn't for your love, if it wasn't for your grace; I don't know where I would be without you.

We truly serve an awesome God. Awesome is defined as extremely impressive or daunting, inspiring great admiration, apprehension, or fear. It is also described as an overwhelming feeling of reverence, admiration, or fear, causing or inducing awe.
In Psalm 18:30, David wrote a song to the LORD. On this day the Lord rescued him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. In the beginning of the chapter, he shows his adoration. He tells the Father how much he loves Him. In the middle of this Psalm he recants the story of how God delivered him during his time of distress. David also shares in this Psalm the power and awesomeness of the Almighty God.  David then ends this Psalm with a chorus of Praise.

Psalm 96:1 says sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! Make a decision today to sing a new song to the Lord. Sometimes, we become so discouraged and overwhelmed by life challenges. Our song becomes more of a "Woe is Me" than "How Great Is Our God."  Don't allow your circumstances, trials, or tribulations to stop you from rejoicing in the God of your salvation. David has given us a great pattern to follow for song writing. Begin with Adoration, move to Testifying of His Goodness, and end with PRAISE! God is worthy of all the glory, honor, praise, and adoration. Write your new song and sing to the Lord. God is good and He is greatly to be praised!
