Meditate on: John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give it to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Each day is another opportunity to embrace life. It is another opportunity to Live, to Love, and to Laugh. On the days when the "woe is me" tries to cloud my thinking, I replace those thoughts. I choose to see the glass half full rather than half empty. LIFE,.... with all of it's challenges and complexities.... there is one thing for sure "It could be BETTER, but It could be WORSE". Your challenge may be sickness, disease, marriage, finances, relationships, or your children, but it is the peace of Jehovah Shalom that will keep you.
My prayer for you today is that you don't get caught up in the wouldda, shoulda, coulda, but that you will focus on moving forward. After being diagnosed with breast cancer, there were many days that I have inventoried my life as to what I could have done differently. But in the midst of all those thoughts, I began to realize that this season of my life has purpose. I was picked out to be picked on. It is not always about what happens to you, but how you respond to what happens to you. So, the only positive thing to do regardless of what you are facing is to move forward and purpose to help someone else. We must chose to live life on purpose! When life serves you lemons, make lemonade! Open that lemonade stand! Squeeze out the bitter lemon juice, add sugar, and ooola... Lemonade! Don't allow this season in your life to make you bitter, but allow it to make you BETTER! Add the word of God to that lemon juice and change the composition of what is happening in your life.
Jehovah Shalom means the Lord is our peace. This means there is nothing broken, nothing missing, nothing shattered, and nothing scattered. This is a benefit of our relationship with God. As a son or daughter, we can have peace, an inward, sedate, composed, cheerful heart at all times, in all circumstances, under all conditions. If we would have this peace, we must go to Him for it. He alone is able to give true peace! Invite Jehovah Shalom in the midst of what you are going through and receive His peace. When you have Shalom (peace), it will literally change your life! Shalom!
