Lord Teach Me to War
Inspiration and Meditation

Meditate on: Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight. My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me. Psalms 144:1-2
Before a soldier goes into battle, he is trained and equipped. He learns how to strategically engage the enemy. His ultimate desire is to annihilate the enemy and receive a victory in battle. The soldier knows if he goes to battle ill prepared, his life could be in danger and possibly lost.
Before David went to battle with Goliath, there were people murmuring in his ear. His older brothers tried to get him to go home but he refused to go. King Saul tried to get him to wear his personal armor into battle, but David believed it would not be beneficial. David knew the only way he would be victorious against Goliath was to fight the battle with God's help. He acknowledged his win in advance because of his trust in the Lord God Almighty. He was not ashamed, not afraid, and he refused to back down.
Today, many of us are feeling the heat of the battle. We are facing challenges in our health, financial woes, relationship problems with spouse and children or other family issues, but instead of being fit for duty we are overwhelmed. Each of these problems have a spiritual implications and will only be won when we fight with God's help.
Some soldiers are ill equipped and are not prepared for battle because they try to do it in their own strength. I encourage you Beloved to follow the example of David and invite God into you battle. God is our strength and it is He who teaches us to war and to fight courageously in battle. In the midst of battle, He is our fortress, high tower, deliverer, and our shield. He is the Lord God Almighty and He will teach us how to fight and win! Don't be ashamed or afraid and refuse to back down. Stand on the word of God and trust Him for the victory.
During the battle pray, read and meditate on the word of God, and trust God for instructions leading to victory. Allow God to release the Champion in you!
