Friday's Inspiration and Meditation
Please view the above blog from our launch on April 15, 2013. As we move forward with Pink Treasures Blog, we would certainly appreciate if you prayerfully consider paying it forward by sharing the blog on your personal page. We also would love to hear from you. Please leave comments that will help us to serve you better. One out of every three women will experience a cancer diagnosis in her lifetime. Someone just received a cancer diagnosis today. You may not be aware because she chooses not to share, or perhaps you don't know her personally. However, if you share the blog it will get into homes we will never visit, and sit on bedsides and speak to women we will never meet. Let's uplift, inspire, and encourage women and their families together! WE can do this together! D
This morning, I will have a MRI in preparation for the next surgery. God is definitely in control and I could not make it on this journey without HIM!! I took some time on last night to go back through the blog posts and encouraged MYSELF. We ALL need encouragement sometimes. There are times on this journey to wellness, when discouragement attempts to overtake us and in those times we must remember the Lord our God.
When facing a cancer journey or other health challenge, there may be times when you feel discouraged. You may be preparing for chemo, radiation, surgeries, or other medical procedures, but do not forget the awesome power of the Lord our God! Whatever you're facing, He is with you. He promised to never leave you nor forsake you.
In 1 Samuel 30, David went through an enormous challenge. David and his men returned home to find that their wives, sons and daughters were missing.... They had been taken captive by their enemy. All the men were angry and pointed fingers at David for what happened. Their homes had been burned to the ground and their families had been taken captive. They literally wanted to stone him. David was very discouraged and felt all alone. But according to 1 Samuel 30, David began to encourage himself.
Regardless of where you are on your journey to health and wellness, I encourage you to remember the LORD YOUR GOD and begin to encourage yourself.
DISCOURAGEMENT
- Discouragement does not come from God. It comes from our adversary the devil.
- Discouragement is an indication that we are walking by sight, not by faith. 2 Corinthians 5:7
- Put worship before warfare.
- Realize we may not be able to change our situation, but trust God to work everything out for our good and for HIS GLORY!
- Stop dissing courage and turn Discourage into Courage by placing your faith in God!
Love you to LIFE!
