FAST AND FURIOUS WEDNESDAY

Mark 9:29    So He said to them, "This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting."

Meditate on: Philippians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

In the book of Mark chapter 9:7 - 29, there is a story about a man and his son. His son had been sick since birth with epileptic like symptoms. The father described his son as having a mute spirit. The disciples prayed, but the problem was yet unresolved. They were unable to cast out the unclean spirit. When Jesus took control of the situation, he told the told the father, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."  The bible says that Jesus commanded the unclean spirit to come out of him and enter him no more. The spirit responded by leaving and the boy was healed, delivered, and set free. Jesus, when asked by the disciples why they were unable to cast out the spirit, said, "This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting."

This is our reference scripture for "Fast and Furious Wednesday!" 

Fasting is afflicting our body from that which it desires most...FOOD. When coupled with prayer, fasting releases the power of God in our life to destroy the works of the enemy. Sickness and disease are spirits and a curse under the law. We are no longer under the law, but under grace because of the new covenant. Jesus bore our sickness on the cross and because of His shed blood we can receive our healing by faith. Prayer coupled with fasting is the spiritual atomic bomb that our Lord has given us to destroy the strongholds of satan. Although, in most cases we fast from food, you can fast from other things that would cause you to afflict your flesh (cause you to be uncomfortable). Such as: TV, Electronics, Facebook, Twitter, Sweets, or Sweet Drinks...etc... It is wise to always ask your doctor for advice before engaging in a FOOD fast.

Wednesday Prayer

Abba Father, The Author and The Finisher of our Faith. I come to you in the name of your son Jesus. I acknowledge you as being the True and The Living God. You are the Sovereign Lord, Holy and Righteous. You are all powerful, all seeing, and all knowing. Your name is great and greatly to be praised. 

I thank you for this day that you have made; I will rejoice and be glad in it! I thank you for your loving kindness and tender mercies that are better than life. Father, I thank you for this day with its new mercies that is loaded with benefits. I can partake of these benefits because of my relationship with you. You are my father and I am your child. I thank you for the benefits in Psalm 103:3, You forgive all my sins and heal all my diseases.

Father, I thank you for salvation and forgiveness of sin. My sins are forgiven past, present, and future. I bless your name for you are Jehovah-Rophe' my  Healer.

I plead the blood of Jesus over my body. I declare and decree on this day my body is healed from every manner of infirmity, sickness, or disease. I speak to every organ, cell, nucleus, membrane, and the blood stream and I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to line up with the word of God, and to function properly with no diversions. I call you to support efficiently my body as it operates in good health. May any and all medications treat only the necessary areas of my body without any adverse side effects. 

Jesus was wounded for my transgressions, bruised for my iniquities, the chastisement of my peace was upon Him, and with His stripes I am healed. I stand on the word of God, and I receive my healing today in Jesus name. I am The Healed of the Lord and I walk in divine health.

Lord, Thank you for my healing in Jesus Name!
