FAST AND FURIOUS WEDNESDAY

Mark 9:29  So He said to them, "This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting."

In the book of Mark chapter 9:7 - 29, there is a story about a man and his son. His son had been sick since birth with epileptic like symptoms. The father described his son as having a mute spirit. The disciples prayed, but the problem was yet unresolved. They were unable to cast out the unclean spirit. When Jesus took control of the situation, he told the told the father, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."  The bible says that Jesus commanded the unclean spirit to come out of him and enter him no more. The spirit responded by leaving and the boy was healed, delivered, and set free. Jesus, when asked by the disciples why they were unable to cast out the spirit, said, "This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting."

This is our reference scripture for "Fast and Furious Wednesday!" 

Fasting is afflicting our body from that which it desires most...FOOD. When coupled with prayer, fasting releases the power of God in our life to destroy the works of the enemy. Sickness and disease are spirits and a curse under the law. We are no longer under the law, but under grace because of the new covenant. Jesus bore our sickness on the cross and because of His shed blood we can receive our healing by faith. Prayer coupled with fasting is the spiritual atomic bomb that our Lord has given us to destroy the strongholds of satan. Although, in most cases we fast from food, you can fast from other things that would cause you to afflict your flesh (cause you to be uncomfortable). Such as: TV, Electronics, Facebook, Twitter, Sweets, or Sweet Drinks...etc... It is wise to always ask your doctor for advice before engaging in a FOOD fast. As we pray, expect God to move mightily in our lives and bring healing and deliverance. Expect the Great, Nothing but Victory... He is able to do exceeding, abundantly above all that we can ask or think! Anticipate and activate your FAITH!

Wednesday Prayer

 

Father in Jesus name we establish you as King of King and Lord of Lords. We declare that you are an excellent God, and there is none in comparison to you. You reign supreme and alone as Almighty God. We magnify and glorify your name. Right now Father, we cast all of our cares on you because you care for us. Heavenly Father, we trust you with our lives. We have been made in your image, and in your likeness, and we belong to you.  In Jesus name, we bring our body, the created thing, back to the creator. You have woven us together; you know our frame, you know that we are dust. We bring every concern to you because we know that you will perfect those things which concerns us.

Father, Jehovah Rohpe, we ask that you would heal our bodies from all manner of infirmity, sickness, and disease. We believe your word, and know that you are able. We thank you in advance for healing our bodies, and for the sanity of our minds. You said in your word that YOU are our healer, so we anticipate the manifestation of healing. We believe that by Jesus' stripes we are healed. Father we thank you for being Healer, Deliverer, and our Sustainer. We praise you in advance for divine health, and long life in Jesus name. We will live and not die to proclaim the works of the Lord.  Psalm 118:17.... Our latter days will be greater than our former in Jesus name!  AMEN
