FAST AND FURIOUS WEDNESDAY

Mark 9:29  So He said to them, "This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting."

Wednesday's Inspiration and Meditation

Meditate on:  2 Chronicles 7:14  If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

In the book of Mark chapter 9:7 - 29, there is a story about a man and his son. His son had been sick since birth with epileptic like symptoms. The father described his son as having a mute spirit. The disciples prayed, but the problem was yet unresolved. They were unable to cast out the unclean spirit. When Jesus took control of the situation, he told the told the father, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."  The bible says that Jesus commanded the unclean spirit to come out of him and enter him no more. The spirit responded by leaving and the boy was healed, delivered, and set free. Jesus, when asked by the disciples why they were unable to cast out the spirit, said, "This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting."
 

This is our reference scripture for "Fast and Furious Wednesday!" 

Remember, fasting is afflicting our body from that which it desires most...FOOD. When coupled with prayer, fasting releases the power of God in our life to destroy the works of the enemy. Sickness and disease are spirits and a curse under the law. We are no longer under the law, but under grace because of the new covenant. Jesus bore our sickness on the cross and because of His shed blood we can receive our healing by faith. Prayer coupled with fasting is the spiritual atomic bomb that our Lord has given us to destroy the strongholds of satan. Although, in most cases we fast from food, you can fast from other things that would cause you to afflict your flesh (cause you to be uncomfortable). Such as: TV, Electronics, Facebook, Twitter, Sweets, or Sweet Drinks...etc... It is wise to always ask your doctor for advice before engaging in a FOOD fast. As we pray, expect God to move mightily in our lives and bring healing and deliverance. Expect the Great, Nothing but Victory... He is able to do exceeding, abundantly above all that we can ask or think! Anticipate and activate your FAITH!

As you pray for yourself, please remember to pray for others. On yesterday, I received a call from a sister whose cancer is out of remission. I accompanied another sister for a cervical biopsy. And I received a message from another sister who is discouraged. Please let's pray for one another and believe God to "Heal Our Land".

Wednesday Prayer

 

Father, we bless your name. We adore you. You alone are holy, sovereign, and righteous. There is none like you and none besides you. You reign supreme and alone as God Almighty. We love you Father, and thank you for loving us. Thank you for your loving kindness, and your tender mercies. Thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you for your provision in our lives. It is you that makes ways out of no way.

On this day, Father, we humble ourselves as we pray to you; the only wise God. We seek your face; we need YOU. We acknowledge that it is in you that we live move and have our very being. We cannot do this on our own. Your word instructs us to lay aside every weight and sin that seeks to beset us. Help us to lay aside everything that would hold us back from moving forward in you. We ask that you would forgive us of every sin.... sins of commission and sins of omission. Fill us afresh with your spirit and help us to live a victorious life in you.

Father, you know all things and there is nothing that catches you by surprise. You knew that this moment would come in our lives even before the foundation of the world. Father we stand on your word that says that if we have faith the size of a mustard seed and say to a mountain to move and be cast into the sea and do not doubt that we will have what we ask. Father, we thank you on this day for Mountain Moving faith... Today we speak to our mountains of sickness and disease, finances, family issues, and relationships, and we command these mountains to be cast into the sea. We call every issue in our lives to be subject to this word and to be moved and cast into the sea.

We walk by faith and not by sight. As we turn down our plates and fast today, we ask you to "Heal Our Land". We anticipate the miraculous power of your spirit working in our lives. Father we thank you in advance for moving in every area of our lives like never before.

We praise you in advance for healing our land.
