Stop the "STINKING THINKING"
And the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys. Job 42:12

Meditate on: Joel 2:25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
The most important thing when battling a diagnosis of cancer or other disease, is your faith, network of love, strength and support. Believe me, a positive, optimistic attitude truly can make all the difference. Each of these components are identified in the book of Job. In the beginning pages, we find the story of a man enjoying his life with a wife, children, health, and wealth. But in the second chapter, we find Job's condition in life has changed. Not only was all his children dead, but he had lost his wealth, and his health. His wife did not understand what was happening and instead of comforting her husband, she began to speak to him negatively. She encouraged him to curse God and die. His response to her was "Stop the Stinking Thinking." Stinking Thinking is thoughts that adversely affect truth. The facts are I am sick, but the truth is by His stripes, I am healed! We must consciously replace the facts with the truth of God's word.
When his friends heard of their friend Job's situation, they came to mourn and comfort him. The bible says when they saw him from afar, they did not even recognize him and they cried aloud. Job's friends sat with him quietly for days before trying to figure out why this occurred in his life. They attempted to convince Job that his sickness was a result of sin or his own actions. By their words and their actions, they condemned Job. Job was exposed to "Stinking Thinking" from his wife and now from his friends. It is so important that you protect your ear gates from negativity. Negativity breeds unbelief and weakens your faith. The most important factor to receiving anything from the Lord is our belief in His ability to perform or bring it to pass. Negativity will challenge your faith...it is like kryptonite to Superman. Always remember, God is in control. He allows things to happen in our lives, but it will work for our good. It may not seem like it, may not feel like it, but it is for our good and God's Glory!
The bible says Job was covered in boils from the crown of his head to the soles of his feet. His children, health and all of his wealth was gone. Sometimes, due to the extent of your trial you may wonder if your condition could be any worse. You may consider yourself akin to JOB. You are sick in your body and your life has changed dramatically. Your physical appearance has changed and their is only a small resemblance of the you you used to be. You find yourself out of work and out of finances. You're struggling to keep you and your family together. You may also have well meaning friends and family come by to comfort you only to condemn you with words of negativity. These well meaning friends and family members coupled with the actual diagnosis may leave you feeling discouraged and hopeless. We find a witness of this scenario in the book of Job, and like Job you can believe that God will bring you out!
There are forty-two chapters in the book of Job and Job's breakthrough was not released until Chapter 42. Job's health was restored and God blessed him with long life. Along with his health, restoration came with more children and wealth in abundance.
I encourage you, keep your faith and trust securely rooted in the LORD our God. The trials and tribulations we experience may seem severe, but our God is able to deliver us. Beginning with verse 38, God begins to remind Job of HIS greatness. Know today, Dear Heart, God is our creator, sustainer, and deliverer. It is in Him we live move and have our being. God has us, he will see us through! My prayer for you today is that RESTORATION comes to your house! In Jesus name!
