STILL BELIEVE
Isaiah 53: 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Thursday's Inspiration and Meditation

Meditate on: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
As we meditate on our scripture for today, BELIEVE! Remember the sacrifice that Jesus made for us. Think about how he endured the pain and suffering of being beaten all night. Remember, the lashes he took on his back. These stripes were administered by whipping his bare back the same as with any prisoner. His hands and feet were bound rendering him helpless. The whips used were made of braided leather, with pottery shards and sharp stones affixed to the ends, which tore open the flesh of Jesus with each cruel swing of the whip. When we picture this terrible, inhumane form of physical punishment, we are horrified. Yet the physical pain and agony were not all Jesus had to under go, but the mental anguish brought on by the wrath of His Father, who punished him for the sinfulness of mankind--sin carried out in spite of God's warnings, sin that Jesus willingly took upon himself . He paid the total price for all of our transgressions because he loves us that much!
This great sacrifice of one man has made available to us redemption from sin, sickness and poverty. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we enter into a covenant relationship with God and all our sins are forgiven. We also receive healing spiritually, physically and emotionally.
Beloved, whatever you are experiencing, I encourage you to believe in the finish work of the cross. Not only is Jesus your Savior, but he is also your healer.
The one thing that has helped me most while on my journey to health and wellness has been the word of God. I believed the word of God and that the blood was sufficient for me! The blood still works because his word is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. A Cancer Journey, or a _____________ (You Fill in The Blank) journey can be scary; there are so many uncertainties. I found myself either digging in the word of God, listening to scripture on cd, or in church services. There may be times you don't feel like going to a church service, or digging into the word. Those moments are perfect for popping in your healing scripture cd and meditating on the word. I listened to my cd during the day, and if I woke up in the middle of the night, I would turn it on. As I listened and meditated to scripture, my spiritual reservoir was being built and my spirit man received strength. Then, when I was at a doctor's appointment, or having a CAT Scan or MRI, I would meditate on the scriptures and the word of God gave me peace.
Allow the power of the word to give you peace today as you read, listen, and meditate on his word.
