Friday's Inspiration and Meditation

Meditate on: Psalm 31:7 I will rejoice and be glad in your steadfast love, because you have seen my affliction; you have known the distress of my soul. ESV

This is the day the Lord has made. Choose to rejoice and be glad in it! The word rejoice means to feel joyful; be delighted; and to be glad. This is a command that has been given to us as believers. Your question may be, "How does God expect me to feel joyful, delighted, or glad". "Doesn't He know what I am going through"? "Doesn't He know about my pain, my fears, and my struggles". "Does He even care"?
You may experience similar feelings, and have similar questions on your journey to health and wellness. A cancer journey or a health challenge of any kind can cause your faith to be shaken. When our faith is shaken, we often lose our joy, and our peace. We begin to carry our sickness, disease, and other challenges strapped to our back like weights. We feel overwhelmed about life and our future. It becomes very difficult to function and impossible to rejoice in each day the Lord has made.
Beloved, God loves you very much. He loved you so much that He endured the pain and suffering of death and the cross just for you. You are the apple of His eye and He promised to never leave you or forsake you. He is willing to carry everyone of your burdens, regardless of how big or how small, for you! He has given to you His peace--supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding as you keep you mind stayed on Him.
I Peter 5:7  Putting all your troubles on Him, for He takes care of you....casting all your worries on Him, because He cares for you.
I encourage you to place all your trust in Him and in the finished work of the cross. Allow His love to envelope you as you rest in His peace knowing that He sees your affliction.
