Pity Party Cancellation!
2 Samuel 22:50 Therefore I will give thanks to you, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises to your name.

Everyday, there is another woman going in for a follow-up test, an ultrasound, or a biopsy. Everyday someone's life is changed forever. On yesterday, I accompanied another sister to the doctor for a biopsy. On the way there, we made small talk. I tried to entertain her and make her laugh as often as I could. I saw the concern in her eyes and could hear it in her voice. I knew she was trying to be brave. And, I could remember those feelings all too well. It has been a little over a year since I experienced similar emotions on the day of my biopsy.
Although we believe in God, and trust His word, it still grips your heart when the threat of a cancer diagnosis invades your life. We prayed together on the way to her doctor's appointment. I know she realized that this day could possible change her life forever. I encouraged her to continue to trust in God and to stand on His word. I challenged her to think positive thoughts only, and to believe the polyps that were biopsied would be benign.
She will receive the results of her test in a few more days. But while she is waiting, I have encouraged her to "PRAISE" her way through. Praise is a weapon of warfare that confuses the enemy. It is a weapon of mass destruction. When praise is launched into the enemy's camp, it causes demonic spirits to began to fight among themselves.
You may be facing a dilemma or a health challenge in your life. You may have just had test performed and you're waiting on the results. Or, maybe you just received a bad report. Despite what is going on in your life, I encourage you to have a Praise Party!
Often during moments like these, you feel like having a pity party. I challenge you to speak to that pity party. Tell that pity party that although there are beautiful balloons, and there is ice cream and cake, but you are not coming. Refuse to go to a pity party....send your pity party a cancellation notice! "This Pity Party has been cancelled due to lack of attendance!" Turn those emotions upside down by having a "Praise Party".
Start your day with praise music, and prayer. Whenever you feel heaviness, depression, or fear, throw a praise party! Get your music, or sing your favorite song. Incorporate prayer at the party and watch your emotional state begin to change. Your praise party will lead you into worship and into the presence of God. And in His presence, is the fullness of joy and at His right hand pleasures forevermore. There is healing in His presence, joy is in His presence, and peace is in His presence. You will find that everything you need is in His presence!
Get in God's presence and be prepared to receive His presents! God will favor you when you spend time in His presence. He will come to your defense when you spend time with Him. I encourage you to have a personal "Praise Party" and you will find yourself in His presence. Then, as you worship Him, I pray that you will have peace that surpasses your understanding. Keep your heart and mind stayed on Him and watch God change things!
