PARADIGM SHIFT
Hebrews 12:12 For this cause let the hands which are hanging down be lifted up, and let the feeble knees be made strong.
Monday's Inspiration and Meditation
Listen to: Shifting The Atmosphere-- Jason Nelson
Meditate on: John 8:11b Go your way and from now on do not sin again.
A paradigm shift is a change from one way of thinking to another. It is revolution, a transformation that is driven by agents of change. As I look back on my life, since being diagnosed with breast cancer, I see that my life has changed forever. I now see life from a different perspective. Many of the things that I took for granted, I now appreciate at a greater level. I have learned how to stop and smell the roses.
I remember spending a lot of time in my life working. I would work sometimes six or seven days a week with little rest. In times past, I have worked a day shift on a Saturday, then returned for the night shift on that Saturday night so that I could be at church with my family on Sunday. I thought, I needed to work hard to provide for my family and to do the "By any means necessary" to ensure they had a fulfilled life. Little did I realize at that time, I definitely was not "Super Woman" and that was not God's idea of providing for me or my family. Work, work, work, run, run, run, until my body's chemistry and balance was out of control. When our bodies are out of control and out of balance, it can not fight sickness or disease the way it can we are healthy,
Cancer cells are in all of our bodies. It is when our bodies are unable to keep them under control that they cause problems and begin to grow and divide abnormally. The Lord has ministered to me the importance of eating, exercising, and living a healthier lifestyle. This definitely requires a shift in how I had always done things. It is not that I did not believe they were important, but I failed to see the seriousness of the combination of the three. There had to be a change in my thoughts and my actions........a Paradigm Shift!
Scientist have discovered in many families there is a gene mutation that makes the likelihood of your experiencing cancer greater. Therefore, let's be proactive and begin to live a healthier lifestyle. Also, cover yourself and your family members in prayer. Make it a must to examine your breast monthly and go get your annual mammograms.
I encourage you today, to shift your thinking and to begin to think about your health on a personal level. Do the things most people won't do and incorporate a healthy diet and exercise regiment into your life.
Let's begin to care for our bodies on a different level. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. (I Corinthians 6:19-20) Shift your thinking and take responsibility for your health. It is a vital part of taking care of the temple in which God allows us to live.
