Hope is the Anchor of the Soul

Image
My Hope is in You - by Aaron Shust This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become a High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek.  Hebrews 6:19 Hope is a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen or a feeling of trust. It is the anchor of our soul which includes our mind, will, and emotions. We must receive the promises of God by faith with patience. Hope serves as an anchor that ties us by faith to believe the word of God regardless of the situation. Whatever we face in life, Jesus has already gone before us. He is the forerunner that leads us behind the veil into the presence of the King. In the presence of God, there is love, peace, joy, and healing. We will find whatever we need in His presence. Be steadfast and unmovable in your pursuit for God , knowing that when you enter into His Presence behi...

The Curve Ball

Image
Jesus Be The Center of My Life Israel Houghton Sometimes in life it seems as if you have been thrown a curve ball. A curve ball is hard to follow and difficult to hit with a baseball bat. It causes you to ask the question, "Why Me?" When you look around, it appears that everyone is prospering and doing well except you. Everyone has excellent health, the dream husband, children, houses, and cars. And it makes you wonder why am I going through when everyone else around me are experiencing the blessings of God. Please allow me to encourage you today. On your journey to health and wellness it is so important for you to stay positive. You don't know what it took for that couple to get where they are in life. As a matter of fact, oftentimes those who we think have "arrived" are living a miserable life and put on a mask when they are around others. Thank God for where you are right now; and believe Him for where you desire to go. Know that nothing can happen ...

I Am An Overcomer! This song has become my anthem for life in this season! It blesses me every time I listen to it! The bible says in Revelation 12:11, that we overcome by the blood of the lamb, and the word of our testimony and they did not love their lives unto death. On November 5, 2013, I completed what is known as the breast cancer cycle for many. Felt a lump, mammogram, biopsy, diagnosis, chemo, surgery, and a series of reconstruction surgeries.  Now I feel like I can get on with my life! I realize that this is an ongoing journey with yearly checkups, and self-exams. However, I must make the decision that "Cancer does not own me." I will not bow to it but the contrary. The greater one is on the inside of me and He reminds me who I am in Jesus. Jesus is my healer and I am the Healed of the Lord. I encourage you to remember what the bible says about you! Regardless of what you may be facing, this too shall pass. You are an OVERCOMER! Make this your decla...

Jesus is the Greatest!

Image
Matthew 19:26  Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. On this journey called life, we must always remember "with God all things are possible." There are times that the circumstances we face appear to be impossible to overcome. When your night seems dark, and your problems seem insurmountable, run to the Rock that is higher than anyone or anything. The name of the Lord is our strong tower. The righteous run into Him and find safety. He never sleeps or slumbers; He is always available for you!  He truly is the greatest man I know. I am a PINK Treasure and I am Living Life on Purpose! Talitha Cumi - It's Your Time to ARISE!

Inspiration and Meditation Listen: ARISE - William McDowell Meditate:   Mark 5:41 He took her by the hand and said to her "Talitha Cumi" which means "Little girl, I say to you, get up" Immediately the girl stood up and walked around. (At this time she was about 12 years old) At this they were completely astonished. This morning I hear this scripture ringing loud and clear..... It is time to "Get Up". When Jesus arrived at the home of the synagogue ruler his daughter lay lifeless in her bed. The official mourners were in place crying and wailing loudly. Jesus put everybody out with the exception of her parents, Peter, James, and John...only those who believed. "Get Up"! Regardless of the naysayers, doctors, lawyers, circumstances, your past or any other situation, it is time to move. Dare to believe that our God is stronger than any force in the universe. He has power over sickness, disease, calamity, famine, lack, and any other manner of dis...

Where Would I Be

Inspiration and Meditation Listen:More Than Anything - Lamar Campbell and Spirit of Praise Meditate:  Psalm 23:1-6 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadethe me beside still waters. He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. The question is often asked..."Where would I be without you?" That is a scary question.. I cannot begin to imagine where I would be without HIM. When I take inventory of my life, I realize that God has truly been so good to me. Growing up in poverty with low self-esteem, tee...

HE Satisfies

Inspiration and Meditation Listen: Your Presence is Heaven to Me - Israel Houghton (YouTube) Meditate: Psalm 91:1- 2 He who dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress. My God, in Him I will trust. God beckons us to come. In the midst of pain, disappointment, frustration, fear, anxiety, lack, unhappiness, and hopeless, there is a drawing from a power that we can't see. It is the our Heavenly Father. He is wooing us to come into His presence. He want us to allow Him to handle everything that concerns us. He cares, He is not too busy, it is not too late. Regardless of where you are in life or what you may be going through, He wants you to come. As you listen to the song of inspiration today, go to the KING. Take everything that concerns you to Him. He has all the answers. He loves you, He will never leave your nor forsake you. He invites you to come and to abide under His shado...

Fire of God

Inspiration and Meditation Listen: Fire of God - Christ Our Life  (YouTube) Meditate: I Kings 18:38 Then fire from the LORD came down and burned the sacrifice, the wood, the stones, and the ground around the altar. It also dried up the water in the ditch. On the day the prophets of Baal came to make a sacrifice to their god, they had no doubt in their minds that he would answer their request and answer by fire. If he answered by fire, that would prove to all of Israel that he is the true God. But to their surprise, he never responded. There was no fire. Not even a spark could be witnessed. We must be careful that we only put our confidence in the Great Existing One, The Great I AM, our God Jehovah. There are other gods. They have mouths, but they cannot speak. They have eyes, but they cannot see.  Ears they have, but they cannot hear. They have noses, but they cannot smell. They have hands, but they cannot feel. They have feet, but they cannot walk. No sounds come fr...

What a Difference A Day Makes!

Inspiration and Meditation Listen:   I Won't Complain - Wess Morgan (YouTube)    Meditate: Exodus 15:24 The people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? How you handle your wilderness experience will determines how quickly you will reach your Canaan. Canaan is symbolic of a place of rest, a place of more than enough, or a place of greater. It is the place where your worry and stress are relieved. It can mean greater influence, greater finances, greater health, greater anointing, greater relationships, or greater _________ ( you fill in the blank), When the Israelites left Egypt on their way to the promise land, they did not handle their wildness experience very well. They murmured, complained, and would not listen to the directions given by God. How often do we find ourselves murmuring, complaining, and failing to follow instructions? God will not leave us nor forsake us. He will provide help in the time of trouble. God gives us directions in the bible...

Words for Life

INSPIRATION AND MEDITATION Listen: Testimony - Anthony Brown & Group Therapy (YouTube)  Meditate: James 1:6-7 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord. Wisdom Words  1. What we speak has an effect on our healing. 2. Your faith and words will make you whole. 3. We are saved and healed by hearing and speaking words. 4. We must speak words of FAITH... Faith that lines up with the bible. 5. Whatever you think/ you will eventually begin to speak and have faith in your own words. 6. Faith is revealed in actions and words. There is no active faith without a corresponding action. 7. We are the custodian of our body. What we speak affects the inward man. 8. The words that we speak affixes the landmarks of your life. You are never able to realize in life beyond the words that you speak. 9. If you're no...

Water Walker

Inspiration and Meditation Listen:   Oh Peter - Donald Lawrence (YouTube) Meditate:   Matthew 15:29 - 31  And He said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? We have heard this story told, preached, and even sang. Peter walked on the water and because he feared his surrounding conditions he began to sink. The wind was contrary even before Peter got out of the boat. Their boat was being tossed by the waves of the sea.  But because his focus was on his master coming towards their ship walking on the sea, he was not moved by his surroundings. He lost his focus and the bible says that he saw the wind. We know that you cannot see the wind only it's effects. However, circumstanc...

Light in Dark Places

Inspiration and Meditation Listen:   I Am What You See - Bishop Paul S. Morton Meditate: Psalm 119:105   Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Have you ever been swimming in a lake or a pond and the water was very cloudy or muddy. You were unable to see anything underneath the water. You had to trust your instincts that the things you felt underneath the water was dirt, debris, or something that lives in the water. You also had to trust that these things would not hurt you. In life, we often experience seasons that we cannot see the outcomes very clearly. During this season, it is so dark that we cannot see the hand in front of our face. We experience pain, disappointments, frustration, fears, sickness, death of loved ones, joblessness, anxieties, and the list goes on. But God! He is a Light in dark places! There has been a light provided for us to help us to see during times like these. This light is the word of God. The word of God is a light that w...

Give Your All

Inspiration and Meditation Listen:  Smile Tasha Cobb (YouTube) Meditate:  2 Samuel 6:14   And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod. There once was a boy that had a beautiful bird. He kept the bird in a cage for its protection. One day the boy decided to take his bird to visit a friend. On his way, he met a man that was hungry and had no money. The man thought to himself, if I can get that beautiful bird from that little boy and sell it, then I can buy me something to eat. He stopped the boy and began to befriend and question him. The boy told him he was on his way to visit his friend. When he asked about the bird, the boy became very excited. He loved his bird very much and the only thing he loved more than his bird was showing it off. The man told the little boy a little about his troubles. He said the only thing that would make him feel better was if he had a beautiful bird. That little boy thought for a few momen...

After This!

Inspiration and Meditation Listen:   After This - JJ Hairston and Youthful Praise (YouTube) Meditate:  Romans 11:36 For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen Beloved, DON"T Give up! So, You woke up another day....seems like nothing changed; you're still going through. But, I have good news for you today. God will move in your situation, He'll heal when doctor's say NO, He will provide when you're in a drought! God will turn things around and He will bring you out. Pray, Trust, and Depend on Him! You have a reason today to praise God! God hasn't brought you this far to leave you. He hasn't brought you this far not to see you through. What you're going through right now has the potential to literally push you to your next level. Yes beloved, there will be glory after this. Believe it, speak it, see it, and expect the manifestation. God will touch your life, your home, your family, your finances; every th...

MY NEW SONG

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to: I Will Bless the Lord - Hezekiah Walker (YouTube) Meditate on:  Psalm 34:1 I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord:  the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. Yesterday's blog encouraged us to throw away the "Woe is Me" song and to sing a new song. We all have our moments that we ask the whens, whys, or the what ifs. It is during those moments that we must deliberately remember the Lord our God. I sang my new song as I was taking my daughter to school. I recorded it so that I wouldn't for get it. I am so blessed to share it with you. My New Song by Deborah Tulay YOU WERE THERE Father of all you are highly exalted There is no one, no one like you When I look over the world, down through the ages All through my life there's been none like you I give you glory, I give y...

Sing A New Song

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to: Awesome - William Murphy (Remix) (YouTube) Meditate on:  Psalm 18:30 As for God, His way is perfect! The word of the Lord is tested and tried; He is a shield to all those who take refuge and put their trust in Him. Oh Lord you are awesome! If it wasn't for your love, if it wasn't for your grace; I don't know where I would be without you. We truly serve an awesome God. Awesome is defined as extremely impressive or daunting, inspiring great admiration, apprehension, or fear. It is also described as an overwhelming feeling of reverence, admiration, or fear, causing or inducing awe. In Psalm 18:30, David wrote a song to the LORD. On this day the Lord rescued him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. In the beginning of the chapter, he shows his adoration. He tells the Father how much he loves Him. In the middle of this Psalm he recants the story of how God delivered him during his time of distress. David also sh...

The Benefit Package

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   How Great Thou Art - Yolanda Adams (YouTube) Meditate on: Psalm 103 Being a child of God comes with benefits. When we wake up each day we awaken to a day of new mercies, and that is loaded with benefits. One benefit package is found in Psalm 103. Beloved let's meditate on this word and put it to memory as much as you are able. This word will empower you to move forward in faith. Regardless of what you face, you can say "I have Benefits." MY BENEFIT PACKAGE INCLUDES Psalm 103 Forgiveness of sin Diseases healed Life redeemed from the pit Crowned with love and compassion Satisfied desires with good things Renewed youth  Works righteously on my behalf Patient and slow to anger Do not receive the deserved penalty Love That is just 10 benefits there are many more. God Almighty loves us so much that He has given us a benefit package that will never be taken away. When you pray the word, it releases power. Today m...

The Promise Keeper

Inspirational Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   That's Who You Are - Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship Meditate on:   Genesis 22:2 And He said, Take now thy son, thine only son Issac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. In Genesis there is recorded a story of remarkable trust and faith. Abraham and his wife Sarah became parents well into old age. They finally received their son of promise and they, as most parents would be, were elated. God initiated a covenant with Abram (His name was later changed to Abraham) earlier in the book of Genesis and made several promises to him. One of the promises was that all the families of the earth would be blessed through him. He told Abram that the son that came forth from his seed would be his heir and his family lineage would exceed the stars in the sky. God sent messengers to Abram to tell he and his wife Sarah ...

Don't STOP!

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   Shifting The Atmosphere - Jason Nelson Meditate on:  Daniel 10:12 Then he said to me, "Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before God, your request have been heard in heaven, and I have come in answer to your prayer. Today we live in a microwave, quick, and in a hurry type of world. The time required  for maturity of just about everything has been shortened. The time necessary to prepare a meal 35 years ago has been cut in half. Our meats and vegetables are now produced with the use of hormones and hot houses that considerably reduce the amount of time it takes from fertilization to harvest. Everywhere we go we experience a world that is in warp speed. We become so accustomed  to this lifestyle that it makes it hard to be patient with anything. In our scripture today, Daniel prayed concerning his situation. God moved immediately, but becaus...

Heighten Expectations

Inspiration and Meditatation Listen to:   Greater -- Tasha Cobbs Meditate on:  Mark 11:23   For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Expectation is the act or state of looking forward or anticipating. It is a belief about what might happen in the future. We can all learn a lesson from the story of The Little Engine That Could. This is a story of expectation that gave birth to determination. Although the Little Engine was smaller than the other engines, it did not see itself as being less capable of overcoming any obstacle. He believed as long as he thought positive, and spoke power releasing words from his mouth he could do anything. What we think will eventually determine what comes from our mouth. And hen, what come from our mouth will in time give bi...

Lord Teach Me to War

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:  Champions -- Freddy Rodriguez  Meditate on:   Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight. My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me. Psalms 144:1-2 Before a soldier goes into battle, he is trained and equipped. He learns how to strategically engage the enemy.  His ultimate desire is to annihilate the enemy and receive a victory in battle. The soldier knows if he goes to battle ill prepared, his life could be in danger and possibly lost. Before David went to battle with Goliath, there were people murmuring in his ear. His older brothers tried to get him to go home but he refused to go. King Saul tried to get him to wear his personal armor into battle, but David believed it would not be beneficial. David knew the only way he would be victorious against Goliath was to fight the battle with God's...

LIFE Happens (Live In-Spite-of Facing Extreme Situations)

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   Confidence - Tasha Cobbs Meditate on:  Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of good and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Think for a moment....before you were formed in your mother's womb... before the sperm and the egg came together.. before your mom and dad... before your grandma and granddad, God knew you. Abba Father, our heavenly father knew you and called you by name. You are not an accident but you were purposely sent into the earth to fulfill a God-ordained destiny. Just like earthly parents think about their children and desire those things which are best for them, God says in the bible the thoughts He has for us are good and not for evil. That is why only good gifts comes from God; He cannot tempt us with evil.  It is His desire that we experience the God kind of life which is revealed through our relationship with Him. We will not be exempt from facing ...

Write, Speak, Praise

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   Grateful - Hezekiah Walker (YouTube) Meditate on:  Psalms 55:17  Evening, morning, and noon I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice. I was encouraged by my friend and sister  Jackie McMullen Jones. As I read her post this morning, God ministered to me the importance of thankfulness. Only one of the ten lepers turned back to give Jesus thanks. Being thankful is important during this season in your life. Regardless of what you are facing be thankful (Grateful). I am the God of all time and all that is. Seek Me not only in the morning quietness but consistently throughout the day. Do not allow the unexpected problems to distract you from My Presence. Instead, talk with me about everything, and watch confidently to see what I will do, Happy Thankful Thursday! On today make a list of 10 things that you are thankful for. View all your difficulties as blessings in disguise. Know that all things will work together for your...

Rejoice is a Choice

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:  I Will Rejoice and Be Glad -- William Murphy Meditate on:  Psalms 118:24   This is the day which the LORD hath made , we will rejoice and be glad in it. This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it! The word rejoice in the Hebrew language means to go round about; to be excited to the point of trembling. Oh, if we could look at each day individually instead of a conclusion of all of our yesteryears and yesterdays. Think about it...If we would embrace each new day, what a difference it would make in our lives. Remember, rejoicing in the Lord is an action and a choice, but it is also a command. We can truly begin to rejoice when we are able to see God's mercy working in our lives.  In Psalms 118 the psalmist exalts the Lord for His mercy. He recognizes the importance of audibly acknowledging the goodness of the Lord because the mercy of the Lord endures forever. He invites everyone to join him in...

Weapon Malfunction

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   In Your Will - Men of Standard Meditate on: Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall proper. And every tongue which rises against you in judgement thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. The word of God says that God would not have us ignorant of satan's devices. One of our key defenses in battle is being aware of the enemy's effort to overtake us, and to gain the advantage over us. It is his desire to lead us away from devotion to Christ and our having a kingdom mindset. Satan is the adversary, obsessively working to exterminate you! Satan hates God and it is his desire to destroy God's people. It is vital that we remain vigilant and sincerely dedicated to God. We must recognize the enemy and expose his tactics. Remember, the weapon may form but it won't work! 1.  Don't give place to the devil. Stop giving the enemy an opportunity t...

From Breakout to Breakthrough

Image
INSPIRATION AND MEDITATION Listen to:   Jesus  -- Shekinah Glory Ministry (YouTube) Meditate on:   And Moses said to the people, "Do not fear! Stand still and see the salvation of the LORD which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again forever.  My mother worked as a cook in a very popular restaurant in our home town. The owner was the magistrate so many visited his business when in town for official business at the courthouse. One day, this man came in from out of town. He was unfamiliar with the area so he asked those working in the restaurant how he could get back to the major thoroughfare. My mother tried to help him. After a few minutes of pondering the best route to take, she came to a conclusion and she told the man, "If you were at the courthouse, I could tell you how to get there, but You can't get there from here." Now we know that was not an accurate statement. However, at the time ...

Commander- In- Chief

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   I Speak Life -- Donald Lawrence Meditate on:   Proverbs 18:21 Life and death are in the power of the tongue. And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Words of declaration and affirmation are vital on your journey to health and wellness, and deliverance from other life challenges. What you say is what you will have so be careful what you say. You have the power with your mouth to either curse a thing or bless a thing. Stop allowing bitter water and sweet water to come from the same fountain. Change your Thoughts; Change Your Speech.  Change Your Speech; Change Your Life The sum of what you have right now is the result of your thoughts coming to life through your mouth. Speak words that agree with your faith. Positive words are good but they only work when activated by faith. Faith requires a corresponding action....There must be agreement between Words and Actions. Gods says that you have a future and a hope. B...

SWAT Team

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to: Waging War -- CeCe Winans   Meditate on: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. 2 Corinthians 10:4 I was laying in bed this morning and I asked God how He would have me to encourage you today. I had a couple of thoughts before I laid down but I did not feel a release.  As I lay in bed about 3 am, I heard the words SWAT Team. God began to show me how because of what many of us are facing in our lives, we need a special unit dispatched. A SWAT Team (Special Weapons and Attack Team) is a special group of police trained to deal with unusually dangerous or violent situations, and having special weapons, such a s rifles more powerful than those carried by regular police officers. They are employed, for example, in situations when hostages are being held, or heavily armed persons need to be captured. Intensity of the battle, determines when a special unit is necessary. Becaus...

Sedations

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   Nothing Compares -- Freddy Rodriguez Meditate on:   Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, not things present, nor things to come. Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35, 38-39 On July 8, 2013, my family in tow, I went to check into the hospital at 5:00 am.  Later that morning, I would go through a nine hour breast reconstruction surgery. I can't really remember a lot about the next couple of days. But on that day, I remember getting an IV,  meeting the doctor, nurses, and  anesthesiologist that would be with me in surgery and waiting to be rolled back to the operating room. I thought it would go like last time. I would say...

You're Stronger Than You Think

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   I didn't Know My Own Strength -- Whitney Houston with lyrics Meditate on:   Mark 16:17 And these signs will follow those who believe. In My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. I heard a story years ago about a circus. It was during the middle of winter and it was very cold outside. The keeper of the animal's quarters made a fire in barrels so that the temperature would not become unbearable for the animals. Unfortunately, one of the barrels was accidentally knocked over and caught fire. Everyone was running and screaming in an attempt to get the animals out. The circus master noticed he did not see the elephants. He yelled to the keeper, "Where are my elephants". The keeper replied, "Oh don't worry about the elephants. They are confined in...

A Friend Called Faith

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   He's Been Faithful -- Vicki Yohe Meditate on:  2 Kings 6:16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. The day I was diagnosed with breast cancer was the Friday before Mother's Day in 2012. As I sat in the chair and listened to the report concerning the areas biopsied in my breast, I absolutely could not believe my ears. After getting home and processing everything that was said, I felt fear creeping in. The devil told me that I was not going to survive; he said that I was going to die. It was definitely a scary place to be. My sister was diagnosed in 2012 with breast cancer so that reality actually compounded the threat in my life. When we face difficulties in life...

The Lemonade Stand

INSPIRATION AND MEDITATION Listen to:   You are My Peace -- Juanita Bynum Meditate on:   John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give it to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. Each day is another opportunity to embrace life. It is another opportunity to Live, to Love, and to Laugh. On the days when the "woe is me" tries to cloud my thinking, I replace those thoughts. I choose to see the glass half full rather than half empty. LIFE,.... with all of it's challenges and complexities.... there is one thing for sure "It could be BETTER, but It could be WORSE". Your challenge may be sickness, disease, marriage, finances, relationships, or your children, but it  is the peace of Jehovah Shalom that will keep you. My prayer for you today is that you don't get caught up in the wouldda, shoulda, coulda, but that you will focus on  moving forward. After being diagnosed with breast cancer, there w...

911 "Hello God, It's ME"

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   I Trust You -- James Fortune & FIYA    Meditate on:   Mark 4:39-41 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still." Then the winds died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, "Why are you so afraid? do you still have no faith?" They were terrified and asked each other, "Who is this? Even the wind and waves obey him!" Many years ago, I got caught in a storm. I heard it announced on the radio, but I thought , "If I leave now, I can beat the storm and make it home." So, I began my twenty minute trip home. When I got half way home, the heavens opened and there was a torrential down pour. It was at night and the sky lit up with lightening as the thunder rumbled. Then, it began to hail. I found myself on a four lane, busy highway in the dark and I could not see. All I could imagine was a eighteen wheeler pushing me off the highway and down  an embankment to my deat...

Victory ROAR! (Rise Overtake And Recover)

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   Lion of Judah -- Shana Wilson   Meditate on: I Peter 5:8 - 9  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. Have you ever been in a situation and you asked the question, "Why me?"  Or, you find yourself saying, bad things always happen to me. You begin to experience evil forebodings although there is absolutely nothing to fear. You live a life of expectancy.... but, not for the blessings of the Lord. Your thoughts for expectancy have become "what's going to happen to me next?" These thoughts are not from God but they are from the enemy. Satan knows that if he can get you to believe that he has power over your body, your finances, your marriage, your children, or your relationships, then...

HE is The Great Physician!

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:  Broken But I'm Healed -- Byron Cage Meditate on:   Mark 1:34 Then He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him. On the journey to health and wellness, we must first cross a mountain called unbelief. This mountain is often the only thing standing between sickness and our healing. This unbelief, if not properly dealt with, will keep you tossed about between thoughts of complete healing and remaining sick. Jesus backed up His claim of being the Messiah by healing the sick. Later, His followers used similar miracles to verify the message of Jesus Christ. Not only did healing demonstrate Christ's divine power over disease and infirmity, it revealed God's heart of compassion toward His people. The Great Physician and the apostles healed people  with: Disabilities or conditions from birth. Matthew 9:1-8 Diseases of a permanent or semi-...

The Game Changer

Listen to:   Everything Has Changed -- Youthful Praise Meditate on:   1 Kings 17:15-16 And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days. And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah. (Read 1 Kings 17: 1-16)    Have you ever felt like throwing in the towel? You felt that life was just too difficult. And, instead of getting better things seemed to grow worse. It was too hard and you just could not see your way out. These feelings often occur when we are on our journey to health and wellness. And, they also may occur when we are dealing with issues in our marriages, with our jobs, or with our children.  Life happens to us all at some time; there is no way to escape, and no one is exempt. The issue is not what happens to you in life, but how you respond to what happens to you in life. In today's scripture, we see a woman w...

I Am an OVERCOMER!

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   Called to Be--- Jonathan Nelson Meditate on:   Revelations 12:11 And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. The word overcomer is defined as "someone who overcomes". And, the word   overcome is defined  as "to get the better of a struggle or conflict, to conquer, defeat, or to overcome the enemy".  Becoming an overcomer is a process. It does not just happen; you have to become engaged in the fight. The overcomer is someone who in the midst of a struggle, or a conflict decides to fight, defeat, and to conquer the enemy. Understand that trials and tribulations are a part of everyone's life and non of us are exempt. Sometimes we look at other's lives and we think..."They got it made", "I wish my life, my marriage, or my children was like that". But, we don't know what goes on in a person's life beh...

He Holds My World

Inspiration and Meditation Listen to:   You Hold My World in Your Hands-- Israel Houghton Meditate on:   Psalm 121:1-2 I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. The bible says that He that keepeth Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. This scripture should give us peace in knowing that God is always on the throne, always alert, all seeing, and all knowing. Sometimes, when we face trials or tribulations in life, we feel helpless and so alone. It feels like a never ending story. We receive one report and before we can wrap our mind around that, we are faced with yet another. How many times have we or others compared our situation to the bible person of Job. Sometimes if we are honest with ourselves, we become tired and a little discouraged. Believe me,  I know, I have been there. But I thank God for words that encouraged, songs that inspired, and prayers that moved me back to a place of trust...
